Overview

Local-first by design

ColorCard is a local-first client color formula card for independent hairstylists and colorists. Version 1.0 does not require an account and does not include a ColorCard backend, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or AI. It uses Apple StoreKit for an optional one-time Lifetime Unlock.

ColorCard stores its working records in the app's local storage on the device. Mochiig0 does not operate a server that receives those records.

Purchases

Apple handles Lifetime Unlock purchases

ColorCard offers an optional non-consumable Lifetime Unlock through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the purchase, payment method, App Store account, local price, and Restore Purchases operation under Apple's terms and privacy policy. ColorCard does not receive or store payment-card details.

The app reads StoreKit product and entitlement state and may keep a local record of the last successfully verified Lifetime entitlement. It does not attach client records, formulas, notes, photos, searches, drafts, or backup contents to StoreKit requests.

Backup and existing client records remain available without Lifetime Unlock. Lifetime affects only the ability to create client cards beyond the free limit.

On-device information

Information ColorCard may store

Depending on what you enter or select, ColorCard may store the following information on the device:

  • Client display names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, tags, favorite status, archive status, and photo-storage consent status
  • Color formulas, formula items, product details, quantities, processing times, tags, and notes
  • Visit dates, service names, result summaries, and visit notes
  • Before-and-after photos you select, plus locally generated thumbnails
  • Unsaved form drafts, local settings, and database metadata
  • Backup archives created only when you request an export

Information Mochiig0 does not collect

Version 1.0 does not send app records or usage data to Mochiig0. It does not send client records, formulas, visit notes, photos, search queries, drafts, backup contents, or analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting events to a ColorCard server.

Photos and permissions

Photo access is optional

ColorCard asks for photo-library access only when you choose to attach a before or after image. A selected image is copied into app-owned local storage, and a local thumbnail may be created.

The iPhone app does not request location, contacts, calendar, tracking, camera, or microphone access. If photo access is denied, client cards, formulas, and text-only visits remain available.

The operating system or your photo provider may retrieve a selected image from a device backup or photo service. That behavior is controlled by you and the platform provider, not by a ColorCard server.

Backup

Export and sharing start with your action

Backup export is optional and starts only when you request it. A ColorCard backup may contain client records, formulas, notes, visits, and encoded photo content. Device-local file paths are omitted.

Backups may contain sensitive information

Backup files are JSON files and are not encrypted by ColorCard. The checksum detects corruption; it is not encryption, authentication, or access control. Store backups only in trusted locations.

When you open the system share sheet, document picker, or file provider, the destination you choose may process the backup under that provider's terms and privacy policy. ColorCard and Mochiig0 do not receive a copy through this feature.

A valid import replaces the current structured ColorCard records on the device. Invalid or unsupported archives are rejected before the current database is replaced.

Operating-system boundary

Device backup, migration, and restore

The device operating system may include app data in device-level backup, migration, or restore features under your platform settings and the platform provider's policies. ColorCard does not provide or control cloud sync. Review your iOS backup settings if you do not want device-level backups.

Retention and deletion

Records on the device and copies outside it

Local records remain on the device until you change them, replace the dataset through a valid import, or remove the app and its app data. Archiving a client keeps that client's information; it is not deletion.

Uninstalling ColorCard normally removes its app-owned local data from the device. Copies may remain in backups you exported, device-level backups, file providers, or destinations selected through the share sheet. Delete those copies through the relevant device or provider.

Because Mochiig0 does not receive ColorCard records, there is no server-side ColorCard account or client-record database to delete.

Security

Protect the device and exported backups

ColorCard relies on the mobile operating system's app sandbox for local storage. Protect the device with a passcode or biometric lock, keep the operating system current, and handle exported backups carefully. No application can guarantee absolute security.

Support messages

Do not send private client information

Support is separate from records stored in the app. When you voluntarily submit the ColorCard support form, the email address, category, and message you enter are sent through Formspree so Mochiig0 can receive and reply to the request. Formspree processes those fields under its own privacy terms.

The form does not accept file uploads, and ColorCard does not request client records, formulas, photos, or backup files through it. Do not include client names, contact details, notes, device-local paths, secrets, or other private information. Use fictional examples to describe a problem.

Third parties and platforms

Services outside ColorCard

The app uses React Native and Expo libraries for routing, SQLite, local files, photo selection, image processing, document selection, sharing, checksums, and Apple StoreKit access. The separate public support page uses Formspree for messages you choose to send. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising, authentication, cloud storage, AI, or crash-reporting SDKs.

The Apple App Store, operating system, Expo build infrastructure, photo providers, file providers, and destinations you select are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Expo build infrastructure processes source and build artifacts during developer-controlled builds; it does not receive ColorCard client records from the released app.

Children

A professional work tool

ColorCard is a professional work tool for hairstylists and colorists and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect children's information through a ColorCard server because no such server exists.

Changes

Updates to this policy

This policy will be updated before a release changes how ColorCard handles information. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
